Hotel Orto de' Medici is located in a
building dating back to the 19th century, originally holding flats that
were occupied by Florence nobles.
In the first half of the 20th century the Bufalini family purchased the
building and its adjoining garden, which is part of an international
school of art. |
When the Bufalini family took charge they
restored the entire building and one year later Hotel Orto dei Medici
was founded maintaining the original splendour of its origins, frescoed
arched ceilings and parquet flooring, and at the same time offering
modern facilities and comfort.
The "Terrazza dell'Orto- Music Bar" was created in 2003, once a
garden which cradled the livelihood of Renaissance Art, to offer its
guests a unique place for relaxing or to enjoy in the company of others.
Located in a peaceful position in the city centre just a few steps away
from the Cathedral in Piazza del Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi
Gallery and only five minutes away from the Fortezza da Basso, now a
modern International trade fair center.
This clearly privileged position represents an ideal starting-point for
visiting museums, making purchases in the most elegant shops of the city
and taking part in conferences and seminars. |
